Established in 2011, we are a church community and campus ministry located in New York and Boston, ministering to young adults and university students in the Northeast United States.

We are deeply committed to the work of Christian missions and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Meet the Registration Team

The Registration Team is responsible for the invitation process and coordinating each eligible invitee’s program experience. Each applicant family will be assigned to a Registration Team member, who will be the applicant’s main contact before, during, and after the event!

Angela Kim

Angela was born and raised in New Jersey in a Korean American family. She experienced a touch from the Holy Spirit at age 15 and again in college at an Alabaster student retreat. This began a cherished season of learning to trust God and hear his voice. Angela studied Geography at Dartmouth and Higher Education at Teachers College. She previously worked in digital marketing for alumni events before becoming a full-time mom. She currently lives in New York City and enjoys exploring museums and parks with her daughter.

Amber Buhagiar

Amber was born and raised in California, where she developed a relationship with God from an early age. However, it was during college that she experienced a profound, life-changing encounter with Him, and committed her life to bringing glory to Jesus. Amber studied Biomedical Engineering at Brown University, but toward the end of college, God unexpectedly redirected her path towards biological research. Amber is currently pursuing a PhD in Cell Biology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Outside the lab, Amber enjoys exploring new coffee shops and reading.

Melissa Cheng

Melissa grew up in the Arizona desert before moving to New York for college. Although she didn’t want to attend college at the time, God had a plan and opened the door for her to study Hotel Administration at Cornell University, which led her to meet Alabaster Group. It was through the following years that she realized her heart for service and hospitality was there all along - God knew! Melissa currently lives with her husband Noah in New York City and works as an accountant at Bluecore, Inc. When she’s not working, you can find her either practicing musical instruments or taking a walk outdoors.

Zion Perry

Zion grew up in a Christian family in Pennsylvania and came to know Jesus at age 5. She moved to MIT for college to study Biological Engineering and encountered God in a deep way while there. She is currently working on her PhD at Yale in Biochemistry and joined Alabaster in 2023. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature and journaling.
